Eggsclusive Collectables eggs are Crafted from a fine
porcelain like clay body in 7 days.
The process required to complete each egg includes:
- Clean, prepare and pour the moulds.
- Wait for eggs to set hard enough to remove from the moulds.
- Remove mould seam while wet.
- Remove the eggs from the moulds and allow to dry for 24 hrs.
- Dry sand for shape and smoothness .
- Kiln Fire number 1: from “Greenware” to “Bisk”. This takes 20 hours at nearly 2,000 C.
- Apply the “Glaze”.
- Kiln Fire number 2: to solidify the glaze. This takes 8 hours at 1600 C.
- Apply the flowers, pictures and verses.
- Kiln Fire number 3: to seal the design permanently into the glaze. This takes 8 hrs at 1200 C.
- Apply in-house created Mother-Of-Pearl.
- Kiln Fire number 4: to set the Mother-Of-Pearl. This takes 8 hours at 900 C.
- Apply egg stands and information tags.
